Tasid has never wanted anything to do with the political agendas of his overbearing father, and with the newfound peace between the galaxy’s two largest alliances, he hopes he can at last avoid politics entirely. He takes charge of a resource vessel bound for what everyone has assumed is a barren solar system. Providence, however, has other plans for him and his crew, and Tasid is the one who discovers sentient life worthy of first contact. But what the tiny planet can offer could start an even bigger war, one spanning the entire galaxy.

The world changes for Juno Lavender and her three best friends when alien life is not only discovered, but finds its way into Earth’s orbit. Whether this event will prove advantageous or deleterious is unknown. Juno can only hope for the former, but between the riots, attacks, explosions, and abductions—and the whole falling naked from thousands of feet hoping an alien will catch her in a mating ceremony, she fears it may just be for the latter.

It was the idea of First Contact that pulled me in, along with the avian alien hero. While the h is a curvy redhead, the hero is bright blue in skin color, has short dark hair, bright golden eyes, claws, four arms, and two sets of wings. The First Contact was so interesting to me; the hero and his crew of many different alien races venturing out looking for resources, only to enter an unknown solar system, and then seeing the little blue marble of Earth, shining like a jewel. I liked how the author imagined all that, the excitement and fear, chaos at first, followed by treaties and negotiations.

Since the H's people, and many other races as well, have suffered a war and a plague, they're even more excited to find that Earth females are mate-compatible, as is usually the way in these sort of romances, but I always like that. A lottery matching up alien males to their human mates is always fun to read. Maybe a bit cutesy how things all worked out for the h's roommates/sisters, but it was easy to go along with.

A lot of the story is h with her sisters, the First Contact, and some other action happening, so it's not until about halfway through that h/H meet up, and I would've loved more time with h/H together. The sex was hot, but I wanted to see them kind of get to know each other. They're both likable characters, the H especially, and I wanted to feel that romantic connection just a little more deeply. It was fun reading the other characters, the sisters and that interaction, but I wanted just a couple more chapters of h/H alone with me. Still, it's a pretty enjoyable read with a nice set-up, colorful world-building, interesting characters, and sexy and very different aliens (Horo needs his own book). So much the author can do from here, and I'd love to see what else she comes up with!

Hoping to avoid politics, Tasid takes charge of a resource vessel bound for what everyone believed to be a barren solar system and discovers sentient life worthy of first contact where his life takes a challenging turn in this exciting sci-fi romance. The aliens that Tigertalez has brought to life is creative, colorful and just what I would hope that the aliens out there are like…did I mention that they sound sexy as sin…where was I? Oh yeah, I was completely fascinated by the story and I can’t wait to read the next one.

LOVE this author's books!!! This one was a good book. It felt as if the beginning was a bit slow but then it picked up. Tigertalez does good storytelling. Can't wait to see where this goes!
You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll be taken for an adventurous ride with a different perspective of first contact. You'll be given a taste of new cultures, and be able to watch as an entirely new culture begins to develop as our world and their galaxy come together.
this is one of the best books i have read but her books are always good. I think this should be put in the movies it has all the emotions of laughing , crying , and a riviting attraction to one would not want to miss a single part of the book. for a sci-fi movies should be lineing up to get her to sign a contract to put it movies / the auther has and very creative emagination.
This book has two views. One view is from the aliens just discovering our world. Their views of what is commonplace for us is fun to imagine and sometimes even funny. On the other side of that coin is the our view of aliens discovering Earth and the whole new galaxy that is suddenly opened up to us. There is adventure, mystery, and comedy.
